Engineering students on a trip to Lahti 21.4.2017

02.05.2017 Cooperation, Education, Events

Materials Processing Technology visited the Plastics and Packaging fair (Muovi ja Pakkaus) in Lahti as part of our Sustainable Materials Processing course.

The fair was relatively small but very focused on the plastics industry.  We met many companies in the plastics industry – from suppliers of master batches, design companies, 3D printing to sustainable products.

For us, as first year students, this was a very positive experience as it confirmed to us that we have a future in a strong and successful industry.  As international students, the language barrier is naturally a concern, however meeting with the many professionals at the fair confirmed that there are many exciting opportunities for us also.
