Do you want to test Arcada Finna, our new Arken?

We have implemented a beta version of Arcada Finna, a search service that eventually will replace the current library catalogue Arken. Arcada Finna is available at https://arcada.finna.fi (External link)
A more intuitive search function
Now it’s easy to search the library catalogue: you type in one or several words in the search box and limit your search afterwards according to e.g. material type, year or language. Arcada Finna also provides search suggestions as you type in your keywords. It is easier than ever to see the lending status of the various book items. And if the book you need is on loan, you can seamlessly continue your search in other library catalogues.
Compared to Arken the material included is larger: e.g. all the e-books in Ebrary are found through Arken Finna. Arken will work in parallel with Arcada Finna during a transitional period.
Arcada Finna is a part of the national information service Finna
Arcada Finna is Arcada’s local view of the national information service Finna. Finna provides access to the collections of libraries, museums, and archives across Finland. The National Library of Finland bears the main responsibility for developing, in cooperation with local libraries, museums and archives. Finna is part of the National Digital Library (NDL) financed by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Please give feedback for the beta version of Arcada Finna! The service is developed based on the feedback the library receives. Use the web form at Arcada Finna or send us an e-mail via biblioteket@arcada.fi.
