Finland’s startup conference Slush announces its first Asian edition in Tokyo
The organizer team behind Finland’s annual tech startup conference Slush, will hold its first Asian edition in Tokyo on April 24th, called Slush Asia (External link).
The goal of the event is to light the same entrepreneurial fire in Asian youth as Slush has done in the Nordics through talks by experienced entrepreneurs and a pitching competition.
The talks by entrepreneurs will tell stories how they became successful, but also all the failures and life-shaking experiences necessary to get there. The talks will demystify entrepreneurship and encourage a new generation of entrepreneurs that will go head to head in a pitching competition.
The organizing team for the Tokyo event is led by Antti Sonninen (External link), former Rovio Entertainment Japan GM and now Beatrobo COO, and will invite people in the tech industry as guest speakers, including Supecell CEO Ilkka Paananen, Rovio’s Mighty Eagle Peter Vesterbacka, Mistletoe CEO Taizo Son, and DeNA founder Tomoko Namba.
”I always thought Silicon Valley was the epicenter of global innovation. After Slush, I changed my mind.” -Wang Jian, CTO of Alibaba Group
Slush ASIA is a technology conference where startups and tech talent meet with top-tier international investors, executives and media.
