#AESinCPH / Startup Bootcamp

Friday morning we woke up early to have some breakfast and head over to Startupbootcamp. Morten and Zeth welcomed us and showed us around. The place was really great and their pitching room was very cool.
Startupbootcamp (External link), founded in 2010 in Denmark, is an accelerator program focused on mobile applications. Over the last 4 years SBC has proven themselves and earned a 74% funding ratio for 150 successful international companies. They are looking to develop another 100 companies and continue growing their presence all over Europe.
Their only rules are 15,000 dkk as startup equity for 8% ownership . With this investment they give the startups only three months to use their space and give them access to any of the 1,000 mentors plus cooperation with any of the other start ups to bounce off ideas and solve problems. Most startups stay longer than three months, as long as there is space, because of the amazing synergy and connections they’ve made and help mentor other start ups grinding through the program.
The intensity throughout these three months involve weekly update meetings with SBC, investors, and mentors that can answer any and all questions. Start ups ranging anywhere from the idea stage to actual customers and sold product may apply to the program. The results are insane: only 10 of the 150 start ups that have gone through SBC have failed.
They call themselves an accelerator for people as they understand the importance of a dynamic team that simply gets shit done. These guys know what they are doing and they love what they do.
That’s all for now!
