AESbreaker: MEDIA MASH

Hello everybody!
This time we would like to express our satisfaction with the last AESbreaker called “Media Mash (External link)“. We hit a record number or people being present and we had a blast!
Huge thanks to our guest speakers, the guys from OWL Helsinki (External link) and Genero (External link). We learned a lot about what it’s like being an entrepreneur in the field of Media and producing/online marketing. It was great to hear their success stories and get inspired by their example. There were some really good questions coming from the people being present and we hope that everyone took something valuable from this experience.
The reason why we create these events is to connect people with similar interests together in the hopes that you can learn from each other and get inspired. This event was exactly what we hoped it would be. People came from many different degrees (Sports and Health Promotion, Distribution of Energy Systems, International business, Economics, Film & TV, Online Media…to name a few), which shows us that a single person is more than their degree and they can be interested in more than one thing. We’ve always known that, but now we’re really glad to see the communication between the different people being established on such cool events such as the AESbreakers, because this is exactly what we’re going for.
Of course, it wouldn’t have been the most successful AESbreaker yet, if we didn’t have our one and only popcorn helper Sofia Fagerström, who against all odds made two full bowls of popcorn for the people in the Cor-house to enjoy. Thank you, Sofia! And of course, we hope you enjoyed the food and the drinks (I personally think they were AESome – Stef) and we’re looking forward to seeing you all again at our next event, which you should totally take your other A rcada friends to, as well.
And if for some reason you missed the Media Mash and you’re reading this, we’re really sorry that you missed out on this amazing event, but we will have many more to come, so stay tuned and definitely join us next time! As the summer approaches, the students are getting lazy, but the AES kitchen is just starting to cook all the great ideas we have for the future. Keep your eyes open!
But yes, thanks once again for a really nice event and we’ll see you again soon!
//Steff, AES
