AES at SLUSH: Per Simberg

04.11.2015 Entrepreneurship, Events, Student Life

Next up is Per, a Arcada alumni, former board member of AES, and still active in the AES team. Per is currently studying his masters at Hanken School of Economics, and this is already his third Slush, second one volunteering!

Why did you want to volunteer?

Volunteering for me was an easy choice because i have been really active in the entrepreneurship scene and i wanted to contribute more by helping out on Slush. This is already my second time as a volunteer  at slush so it came naturally that i wanted to continue again. The Slush experience was just so epic so i couldn’t miss it.

What are you most looking forward to?

The whole event in general, The atmosphere and the people just make it so right.

What will you be doing at Slush?

I will be helping out with the pre-registration. So handing out badges and wristbands to the people who want them already before the event starts. Approximately 8000 tickets will be registered before the event!

Any specific or favorite memory or experience from previous Slush you’d like to share?

One of my favorite memories was when slush was about to start and their intro music came on, the hype was just so real. Everyone was so pumped to the max you could just feel the energy rising in the room!

Why should people go or volunteer to Slush?

It is not so easy to describe why slush is so epic, but the experience and the teams you work with is just to epic to describe. You meet a lot of new people, network, share experiences, see the inside of the startup scene. There is so much to see and experience around slush, you won’t be without something to do.

Anything else you want to share regarding Slush?

Come there experience it, be amazed, see the scene. It’s one of the coolest event of the year.

Let’s hope Per will be amazed once again at #slush15 !
