Win tickets to the Flow Festival!

24.06.2013 Student Life

UPDATE: This competition has been closed! Congratulations to Patrik Ekberg who can look forward to two 4-day tickets to the Flow Festival 2013! You can see his winning picture here.

Summertime, and the living may (or may not) be easy. But no matter if you are sipping cocktails at a beach somewhere far away or working up a sweat at your summer job just around the corner – there are two things that are almost certainly true about you. The first is that you often carry some kind of camera around, either hanging around your neck, built into your laptop or hidden in your phone. The second is that you are just as excited as we are about the Flow Festival that takes place in Helsinki in August.

Now one thing can lead to the other. We challenge all you current students, as well as our alumni and you who start your studies in fall, to take part in Arcada’s summer photo competition! The lucky winner will receive two 4-day tickets to Flow, valued to 180 euros each! Flow takes place in Suvilahti on 7-11 August.

So, what are the guidelines for the competition? As many of you may know a reoccurring theme in all Arcada’s communication this year has been the phrase Good morning. Wake up and explore life. Now we leave it up to you to freely interpret this slogan and let it inspire your photography.

Your entries will be displayed in this blog post, and whoever has taken the photo with the highest amount of likes by the time the competition closes has reason to celebrate. Please not that photographs can be submitted until the 18th of July. The voting period (which has already started) will then continue another ten days, until the 28th of July.

You can submit a maximum of three pictures, and you send them to inside@arcada.fi (maximum file size per e-mail is 5 megabytes). Make sure to include your full name, e-mail address and a phone number where you can be reached during summer.

That’s it! Happy snapping!
