Foreign perspectives on studying at Arcada!

This year’s application period to Arcada’s bachelor’s degree programmes in English is soon coming to a close. The applicants are, as usual, a mix of ambitious young people from every corner of the world as well as internationally-minded young Finns.
We know that many of you are in the middle of putting the final touches to your applications in Nursing, International Business and Materials Processing Technology, and we are very excited to meet all the new students joining us at our campus in Helsinki this autumn!
So, what is it that makes the international atmosphere one of our university of applied sciences’ most defining characteristics? For starters, did you know that more than 15 percent of our students come from abroad, and that they represent more than 40 nationalities? Every year we also invite guest lecturers from all around the globe – offering valuable international perspectives and making sure that your education is based on the latest expertise. All degree students at Arcada are also encouraged to go on exchange studies for a shorter or longer period of time at one of our partner universities. You can choose from destinations ranging from Tromsö in the north, Johannesburg in the south, Canada in the west and South Korea in the east!
During autumn our students in media culture made a series of interviews with foreign students at Arcada – some of them who had joined us for shorter exchange studies and some of them studying degree programmes here. Below you find a few highlights to further inspire you during your application process. The videos do a great job of summarizing what you can expect from studies at Arcada, life in Finland and all the opportunities that await you!
