The Pitch

Last Thursday morning it was time for the pitch. During the last few days and nights we had been working very hard in our international groups on our business ideas. We used all of the time available in order to improve and finish the presentations before it was time to impress the dragons.
Each of the five groups were given a certain amount of time to present their companies. These included a company who wanted to make online videos of young unemployed in order to give them a better life to a company raising awareness of milk by producing frozen yogurt. The dragons were really impressed about our work and they wanted to ask some additional questions. All of the business ideas could be turned immediately into real companies with a social benefit.
In the afternoon, we went together to the Students’ Union to have the official closing ceremony. We received something small to eat and listened to a talented guitar player. Afterwards, we were given diplomas and medals for passing the course.
The last evening was spent together. We kept on talking and sharing information with each other in local bars and the hotel reception until very late. Unfortunately it was then time to say goodbye to our new friends from abroad (but we will stay in touch). The next morning, we packed our bags and took the bus towards the airport.
We want to thank our own teachers, Susanna Fabricius and Christa Tigerstedt for taking us with them on this wonderful journey. We would also like to express our gratitude to all of the teachers from the other participating countries and guests who shared their own expertise and helped us during the last two weeks in Southampton. This has been an amazing learning experience and we would definitely be ready to work together again.
